Singapore To Allow Bungee Jumping

AP via TBO:Stuffy Singapore will allow bungee jumping in yet another effort to loosen up its famously strait-laced society, Prime Minster Oh Choke Tong said Saturday.
"In fact, so changed is our mind-set that we will even allow reverse bungee," Goh said in a speech launching the "Remaking Singapore" committee report. Reverse bungee is where a user is catapulted up into the sky.

Singapore is trying to shake off its dull image and market itself as a media and arts center. Officials are taking small, cautious steps to spice up the nightlife, such as allowing some explicit language in plays.

Earlier this week, the government announced it would allow bars to stay open for 24 hours and patrons to dance on bar tops.
