Mitt & Ann Romney: Modern-day Eisenhowers?

Boston Herald
July 27, 2007

White House wannabe Mitt Romney and his bride, Ann, will be the Second Coming of the Eisenhowers if they make it to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. next November.

In fact, the former First Couple of Massachusetts, according to an interview in this week’s People, refer to themselves as "Mamie" and "Ike" around the kids.

"They are just enthralled with the Eisenhower administration and the solid core values of that sweet couple," Ann’s brother, Rod Davies, told the mag. "And Mitt and Ann kind of fit that mold in a lot of ways, don’t they?"

Guess no one told them about Kay Sommersby.

Didn't Ike's son/children go into the military? I don't recall....

John Eisenhower retired from the Army as a Brigadier General, later served the Nixon administration in various capacities and was appointed Ambassador to Belgium. He has written several books on military history.

Turn back to the Constitution - and
READ it.

My reference was to Kay Sommersby, Ike's mistress. Another example of Romney's peculiar definition of "solid core values".

you seem to be referring to actual history, rather than the make-believe 40s and 50s that the radical right pines for?
