As Anti-Terror Step, FBI Warns Police About Almanacs

The FBI has warned police nationwide to be alert for people carrying almanacs, cautioning that the popular reference books covering everything from abbreviations to weather trends could be used for terrorist planning.

ed: while i can see how an almanac might be marginally useful for terrorists, is the FBI really serious? darn, i guess that 2004 world almanac (or terrorist's handbook, as it shall now be called) i just bought is headed for the trashcan. wouldn't want to be caught with such a damning piece of evidence. hat tip ascap_scab
