Outrage

via NYTimes: With costs and casualties rising in the war on terrorism, Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld struck back today at the administration's widening circle of critics, saying they were complicating an already difficult task.

This is an outrage. The First Amendment guarantees each and every one of us free speech. How dare he attempt to silence us with this 'dissent is unpatriotic' garbage. I do not see any responsible lawmakers calling for a withdrawal from Iraq. What I hear and see is many people screaming at the Bush Administration to get it right. This is an outrage. He is as free as you and I are to make these comments but it is time for all of us to stand up and be heard. Dissent IS patriotic.

Atrios, Calpundit, Tim Dunlop and Arthur Silber have more.

UPDATE: Talking Points Memo has more.
