Hungry rats having a blast

Herald Sun: IT takes a rat to leave behind an unexploded landmine with the potential to kill innocent children and adults.

So in order to rid the world of the millions of such ordnance left over from various conflicts, experts are now turning to that very creature.

Cheap, intelligent and, crucially, lightweight, African pouched rats are being trained in Tanzania to sniff out mines and explosives...
