Electronic Harrassment

Q: To the best of my knowledge, the weaponry available (available being defined as in either a) testing stages b) actual use) at this time, that has _no_ capability of being lethal - has extremely short-lived effects. The most common that I've read about and the most relevant to the post (and is also linked to this dude's page so that's roughly ten sources I've read on this type..) is the low frequency electromagnetic radiation that causes behaviour patterns to change. But again - I have seen no proof that it can be used effectively for long periods of time, without being noticable to people, *and* able to be protected against (i.e. shielding) And the effects were reversible afaik. Thus leaving me to wonder - if this guy is telling the truth, how is it that the effects were *not* shielded from if they knew what was occurring, and how is it that the effects were so long-lasting?

A: My point with this is that the problem for a lot of people is not being crazy, it's with _having been_ crazy -- you learn patterns of thought and behavior. It colors your whole world. One may develop habits which are as destructive and self-maintaining or reinforcing to the madness as was the original disorder, which in many cases may be short-lived, especially in the cases of people who were targeted for harassment by neighbors, cults, religious groups, or other such organizations, not to mention people who were enrolled in "challenge studies". Whether or not this would definitively result in electronic harassment in order to perpetuate a level of disorder, or exascerbate a pre-existing condition, or maintain a long-term challenge, I can't say. I can say that I, with a fairly mild and rather uncommon disorder not noted for public displays nor for violence, have been subjected to some really bizarre treatment over long periods of time, by more-or-less random strangers. My presumption was, after trying to do some reality-checking at local mental-health facilities, that someone somewhere had decided that I was sufficiently a risk as to need to be in some facility, and that they had no compunctions against trying to agitate me to the point where I'd do something committable. I found it even more fascinating that the level of harassment increased when I sought "professional help" at a local-government-funded outfit that seemed quite happy to treat me once they discovered I had full fee-for-service Medicare and secondary coverage as well. They also wanted to sign me up with a research waiver... and outside in the real world, harassment increased exponentially for a time.
