Law School Ranking?
Q: Does anybody know where I could get the most accurate and valid law
school ranking?
A:U.S. News & World Report puts out a ranking of law schools every year.
There is also the Gourman Report. As for the accuracy and validity of
those rankings, there are many critics of the methodologies used to
arrive at rankings. You might be better off getting yourself a book with
narrative descriptions of law schools and what their strengths and
weaknesses are. I think there is one called "The Insider's Guide" and
another called "The Best Law Schools."
U.S. News and World Report ranks law schools every year, as well as
business and medical schools. I believe the ranking usually comes out
in March or April, so you won't have to wait long for a new one, or
I'm sure you can find back issues somewhere.
