Kady O'malley Harasses, Endangers Female Lawyer For Scientology

Q: While critics endlessly bring up the same examples of harassment from the CoS, their own harassment often goes unnoticed. Indeed, the type of harrasment many engage into and support is the kind mobs exert on discriminated minorities, and therefore it is, in a way, accepted. This letter from Helena Kobrin doesn't cover by far all cases, but can help to give one a small idea. You know, this is the second time in the last two weeks that this letter has been reposted to a.r.s. It's not like the information isn't permanently available on the web; much to my annoyance, the Scientology hate page dedicated to me *still* has top ranking on a Google search for my name. But that is not the point, is it?

A: What is omitted from this recounting of events is the fact that I removed the page voluntarily from my website after considering the concerns expressed on behalf of Ms. Kobrin in the letter from her partner, Kendrick Moxon, and I apologized to Ms. Kobrin, both privately and publicly, for any actions I might have taken that made her feel threatened, or led to any harm coming to her property, her family or herself. The entire incident did make me think more carefully about questions of invasion of privacy, and has made me more cautious in how I deal with personal information, even if that information is a matter of public record, as is a street address. I think that's a good thing. As I have not had further communication on the subject from Ms. Kobrin on the subject since the issue was resolved, I presume that no harassment or endangerment resulted from this incident. Which makes me wonder why someone would seek to drag up this incident from the past in order to suggest otherwise.
