Cad Drafting Standards

Q: I am project manager at a landscape architectural firm. Occasionally I supervise persons using AutoCAD 14 in-house and as free agents. I would like the same layers, layer names, plotting configurations, etc. used with continuity throughout the work. I am seeking a publication (electronic or paper) that will provide guidelines or standards for this diverse pool of CAD drafting talent. I have found the following electronic sites: Caltrans http://tresc.dot.ca.gov/Engineering_Technology/DevelopmentBranch/CADD... CADD Standards http://home.att.net/~dkh007/caddstd/index.html At the office, I have an additional standards site from a university. The standards are to be used by consulting architects. Any leads to a not to complex set of standards would greatly appreciated.

A: -Try this site for the AIA architectural standards: http://www.mcs.net/~djec/rclg/aia_clg2.htm -Cadconsultant in the Orlando area. Working for many LA's, that had the same problem, banged out a office standards manual with some of the firmes and seems to be what we needed. - The following site also contains standards. http://www.calstate.edu/tier3/ppd/ae/CAD_STDS.html The parent site is: http://www.calstate.edu/tier3/ppd/ae/
