Accessory Electronics

When primitive man first invented the wheel he was quite pleased with his product. It was useful and served his needs perfectly. Then one day he looked at the wheel and thought, maybe I could add a stick to the wheel and push it along that way. It would be useful and serve my needs even better. That stick was the first accessory invented. It seems that soon after one piece of consumer electronics is invented and produced then somebody looks at that device and thinks I can make it look or work better if I add an accessory. Today for every consumer item there are accessories. If you have a laptop or a notebook computer you will need a carrying case or computer bag. For your mobile phone you will need a battery charger, a phone case to protect it from damage and a clip that you can attach to your belt or purse so that you can carry it around. If you like to play computer or console games then you may need a game pad, a flight controller or a steering wheel. You will also need a storage container for all of your games. For your home based computer you will need extra power cords and a surge protector as well as a mouse and wrist pad and an ergonomic chair. For your home entertainment system you will need cables, splitters, switches, and

remote controls. Just when you think you have all the accessories you need you buy a need gadget, and soon thereafter you’re back at the computer shop looking for accessories to make it look or run just a little better. Like new cell phone batteries that reportedly last forever, or an antenna that is guaranteed to improve reception. When you buy a new consumer electronic product they have already built at least ten other accessories that they hope to sell you along with that product. You can resist at first, but eventually they are hoping that you will be back in the store, just looking, and then buying the latest accessory to improve your product. It’s only a matter of time.
