Source Of Business Card Holders
Q: I am looking for a source of metal (silver/brass etc.) business card holders. I was at a craft show and noticed an artist selling these holders with a 1/8" thick layer of exotic woods epoxied to the metal. There was koa, birds eye, cocobolo etc. The key is the business card holders need to have a recessed front to allow space for the wood when attached to the business card holder. Any suggestions where to locate the holders at a good price?
A: -The back was 5/16" ply, the bases were solid 1/2" x 1" strip and the edging was solid 1/8" strip stock. The business name was done in rub-on lettering (draftsperson style) and the finish was several coats of nice gloss polyurethane for durability. It was about 2 feet square and held around fifty stacks of fifty business cards. -Why not just make the entire business card holder out of wood. There was a neat flipcase design in FW a while back that I was toying with the idea of making a wallet version.
