Printing T-shirt

There are many ways of printing a T-shirt from having mass production of imprinted logos and messages to having one T-shirt imprinted with a picture or message. You don't need to have any sewing skills to custom design your own T-shirt because there are many kits that allow you to create your own designs using your computer. These kits for printing designs on T-shirt consist of the software to enable you to create an iron-on transfer. The materials you will need to custom design the printing for a T-shirt are: * Software * Artwork * Transfer paper * Printer * Iron (or heat transfer press) * Hard surface (if using an iron) * Pillowcase or other fabric (if using an iron) * T-shirt If you want to start your own business with printing T-shirts, you should probably invest in a heat transfer press to speed up the process, but most people start off with the iron-on transfers. A few tips to help you in this process are: * Make sure that the iron is really hot. * Always print a preview first, before you print on the transfer paper. Spoiling a lot of this paper will be a waste of your money. The preview will let you see what the printed image is like and if you need to make any changes either to the artwork

or the colors. * If you have text in your design, you have to flip the image before you print it. This is similar to looking in a mirror. Printing the image as it is may reverse the lettering or have it upside down. * Make sure that you put the paper in the printer so that it prints on the right side. If it doesn't, it is useless. * White does not print, so your design should not have any parts that require white coloring. The material of the T-shirt will show through the design. * Always use a test fabric before applying the design to a T-shirt. This will give you a good idea of how much heat you need to achieve the desired results. Some fabrics require more heat than others.
