Poster Printing

Poster printing for personal use consists of using poster appear and printing a colourful message that you want to relay to others. Professional printing of posters has several options for those who need a more professional look to their posters. There are laser printing or screen printing options available. Either a business or an individual can do laser printing using a big color laser printer that prints a prepared file straight out of the printer. For screen printing you need to have a number of plates and a mechanical to produce the finished poster. Poster printing using laser printers costs more for each poster, but there is no set up charge involved. You can get as many copies as you want whenever you need them. You have to realize that although laser printing is faster, the print quality is not as good as that of screen printing, especially if there are large blocks of the same color. You can also do black and white posters with laser printing and even get a hint of color by using cheaper grade colored paper. Poster printing using screen method is more expensive to set up because the printer has to prepare the plates. Even though it is more expensive, the actual cost per poster is cheaper than with laser printing. If you need a large number of posters printed, this is the best

method to use and even though the cost depends on the number of plates that are needed, there are also other things to consider. You can choose to have white paper in either a matt or gloss lamination finish, but the print quality is very professional with either one. You can also choose colored paper for an enhanced effect. Poster printing done by a professional uses different colors than you see on a computer screen. The printing is usually done in cyan, magenta, yellow and black, abbreviated as CMYK. Printing from the computer sometimes alters the colors and greens and oranges do not come out well. You have to convert the images to CMYK before printing to create a professional image.
