Online Witnessing Courses,how About This?

Q: Before a teenager gets behind the wheel of a car, I would hope he would do two things: 1. Pray up. 2. Take a driver's education course. Likewise, before I go out witnessing, I would want to do two things: 1. Pray up. 2. Take a course in soul winning. Though I attend a church that believes in reaching the lost (at least the leadership does), they offer no courses in how to win the lost to Jesus. They say, get him to church and we'll do the rest. Unfortunately, I get a completely different sense from scripture as to how to do it. I asked why not offer a course in winning the lost; they answered, "because no one ever follows through on it and does it." I then went to my local Bible bookstore and inquired there. There were very few books there. I found what few there were to be of high price and low benefit. Yahoo and AltaVista have not pointed me to any good information of witnessing (maybe I'm asking the wrong question to the wrong search engine). Does anyone know of a good online course in witnessing? I want to know what I'm doing before I go out and, though well-intentioned, drive someone away from the gospel by not knowing what I am doing.

A:don't know of any 'paperwork' or course that would help you. But IMO, the best, most obvious way to 'witness' to people who don't know you or know you well, is to be good witness to all of those you may come in contact with (in your small or large world). The biggest complement for me to get is to have people I barely know, Know that I am a Christian, maybe by the different way I speak to, and about, people and things. Maybe they have watched me read my bible or scripture during my private, slow moments at work. I don't

think that it would have been due to me plunking down a bible where ever they were/ are and saying, "Hey! Have you heard about Jesus!!?". For some that may work, but that gesture would just tend to annoy me*. I personally think it's a bit much to go up to strangers and say, "Oh, BTW, did you know that Jesus loves you!!?" That's just not me. Honestly, I think it tends to turn most people off/away. No, for me*, the best example I can give to the world is to Be* a Christian to those directly in* my life and to those who cross my everyday path, especially those on a regular basis, like co-workers, grocery store clerks, stores, etc.. the main places that I frequent.
