Marathon Training

Marathon training or long distance running has many benefits for the health. It greatly improves your heart and lungs. Your blood vessels will multiply and greatly expanding allowing more blood to be supplied faster and more efficiently. Marathon training is a great way to build endurance, speed, and balance among many other things, as well as a multitude of health benefits scientist are just now beginning to understand. Before you start on any marathon training schedule you need to first tell your doctor what training you are doing and for how long and if that is what you should be doing. With all the medical problem these days rushing into something isn't such a good idea you will wear yourself out to easily. Start out with a plan and work into your ideas gradually doing more and more each day. Listen to the important sounds of the body. Diet and weight can greatly affect marathon training. Since marathon training burns a lot more calories in a short time it is a good idea to eat very healthy. Carbohydrates are a good source of fuel and will consume quickly while you exercise. Anytime you burn fat off it turns into muscle and muscle weights more than fat so always remember that you weight will not get to low it

will eventually stabilize. Marathon training does have some cons. If you have had knee surgery your doctor may tell you to skip the marathon training completely. Since walking doesn't effect your knee but jogging or running on the other hand does. Prolong jogging or running can put twice the amount of your weight on your knee's which is not good in the long run. Also running on pavement or cement can lead to serious conditions like shine splints which hurt and will put anyone out of action for a while. But often enough the technology holds true with new types of shoes that make your feet feel like they are walking on air you may be able to go on that marathon run competition after all.
