A successful life insurance agent will often have high earnings but many of these agents who assume jobs in the life insurance industry will fail to earn enough from commissions to meet goals for the income that they want and they will eventually leave and move on to other careers. Life insurance agents who work for one insurance company are referred to as “captive agents”. The independent insurance agent, or brokers, will usually represent several different companies and will buy insurance policies for their client with an insurance company that offers the best rates and coverage. A life insurance agent will be responsible for preparing reports, maintaining records, looking for new clients, and helping existing policy holders to settle their insurance claims. Some life insurance agents are also offering their clients some type of financial advice on how each client can minimize the risk of medical financial situations as well as how to maximize the value potential of their insurance plan. A life insurance sales agent is often referred to as a “producer” in the insurance market because
