Harrassment Order

Q: a court clearly found Noah in contempt of a restraining order. Do you have any evidence that the FMSF is harassing therapists via lawsuits?

A: On Friday the thirteenth of October, King County District Judge Barbara Linde found Charles ("Chuck") Noah in contempt of court for violating the permanent anti-harrassment order which has protected David Calof since May 31st. The court found that Noah "intentionally" violated the provisions of the order, which covered therapist David Calof, his family and staff. Judge Linde fined Noah $500 and gave him three days jail time, both of which she suspended pending his next course of action. Calof asked for and received the award of his attorney's fees for the contempt action, which reportedly amount to several thousand dollars. The ACLU had joined the case on Mr. Noah's side, claiming that the state and Calof were unduly trying to restrict Noah's freedom of speech. ACLU argued that he is waging a legitimate educational and informational effort, not harrassment and defamation.
