Q: I wasn't trying to be nice. It just irks me that this guy is walking around free as a bird instead of being locked up for what amounts to child abuse, i.e., leaving his children with a woman whom he knew for a fact was mentally ill!

A:But she's imprisoned in Texas and therefore has a higher likelihood of being put to death. He may just wind up a widower. You know, no matter how many times I see injustice, corruption, depravity, etc., in life, to automatically assume that someone would try profit off the death of his children is inconceivable to me. I believe there are still some people left on this earth who are good, moral, loving people and I thank GOD I still have this view. Sure there is...there are treatments for postpartum depression and gestational diabetes. That doesn't mean you cannot have children...in fact, one would

never know they had postpartem depression or gestational diabetes UNLESS they had children! Treatment is still not complete...and she had an extreme case that involved psychosis. I do know she is not the first woman to kill a child [or in her case, children] from postpartum depression, but perhaps if people *understood* more about the problem, more people could get help. A woman can have postpartum depression with their very FIRST child...and never have it again or have it after their FIFTH child...I don't know if they have clinical evidence supporting what exactly causes postpartum depression....so I don't think saying, "don't have children" is the answer..IMO..
