Best Architectural Schools?

Q: I am desperately seeking opinion on international architectural schools. I would greatly appreciate some feedback from architects and architectural students regarding schools in Britain, USA and Australia. I would love to hear any comments. If anybody is aware of any related links or resources could they please let me know.

A: -I don't know about schools, but, if I had the chance to go to any place in the world to study architecture, it would be in England. Mainly because of the closeness to all the great stuff over there. And England, because of the language. An American school might send you over there for a semester or two, maybe a summer, but that wouldn't be enough time to look at all the various styles. America, opps, the USA has some great architecture, but most of it can be seen in a week or two, unless you like sheet metal buildings with foam facades. And i'm sure that Europe has that too. All jokes aside, I would study in

England and visit the US for a summer or a semester. -If you're interested in going to school in the US, I recommend the University of Illinois. I'm going into my junior year here as an architecture major and have had many positive experiences here. They are consistantly ranked as one of the best values (best education for the money) AND in the top 5 architecture schools in tha nation. I'm fom Massuachusetts and I moved 1300 miles to go to school here because it had so much to offer! I got in with a 3.4/4.0 GPA and a 1320 SAT score, but I know friends who had much lower scores who also were admitted. If you'd like more information you can go to http://www.uiuc.edu
