Australian VS North American Dental Schools And Dentists ?

Q: Does anyone know how the quality of dental schools in Australia compare to North American ones. What about experiences with Australian Dentists?

A:That's the same as what happens in New Zealand. Most primary schools (i.e. not High schools) have dental clinics on site. I think they starting to move away from this, tho'. It was awful when you were at school: The dental nurse would start calling for kids and then the last kid she saw would tell the next kid they were to be seen. Unfortunately, sometimes people "cried wolf" and treated it as a joke and so you'd turn up at the clinic and find that you weren't seen. The other thing is that when I was at primary school (1971 thru 1978) the dental nurses NEVER used injections when giving fillings. You just had to LIVE with the pain. Yuck. Going to a proper dentist when you got to high

school was bliss as you got injections for fillings. Most of the Dental students there are immigrants form parts of Asia, Latin America, etc. So of course these students are going to think very highly of White people in America, and not mistreat them sense they might see them has the people responsible for bringing them here. Would I being an African-American receive such treatment? I didn't see very many African-American Dental students there although the area and that the area around the University itself used to have lots of African-Americans working/living there. My Mother even used to work at that school, and took me to get my teeth cleaned there when I was a boy.
