Associate Degree In Nursing Online Program?

Q: I am a nursing student in California. I entered an MSN-E program, which is basically a nursing program for those who already have a bachelors degree in something other than nursing. At the end of this program I would have a masters degree in nursing and hold an FNP license. I am currently on the second year of four for this program and will sitting for my State Boards this December. I hope to have many interesting discussions with all.

A:Is there an online version of a program like yours? That sounds like it is right up my alley. I already have a bachelors degree, but not in nursing. I have an associate's degree in nursing. I was going to go for my bachelor's in nursing, but this sounds like a better deal. I believe there are programs solely online for those holding an RN license. A: The best bet is to google it, but I'm sure they exist. I am currently enrolled in Western University, and the FNP portion as far as I know will be solely internet based. i am working on my BSN with Deaconess college of nursing in missouri. mostly on line and it is a great program . I live in california in the foothills

and all college programs are at least an hour away for me so did not want to go that route. you might want to look at the new programs offered by walden university, the offer an on line Masters program with an emphasis on education or leadership I'm jealous. I have an AS in Comp Sci and a BA in English - and I'm only going to have an AS after school - of course it's about half the time as your program, Keith. Would have loved to hook into that, though! I'm going right into the BSN program here (upstate NY) right after though, which is cool. I'm afraid that higher degrees means more adminstrative type work, though. What's your opinion or experience?
