Architectural Engineering License Exam
Q: Anyone know much about the status of the Architectural Engineering license Exam? (BAE) I know when it might be offered at any state level is still to be determined after each state adopts it, but has anyone seen the exam yet and what it may consist of? I am a licensed Architect,in hopes of sitting for the AE registration sometime in the next couple of years. Will there be any study guides for this exam? It was suggested I take the FE and wait for the AE/PE exam to be offered because like any other PE, I need to endure and pass the FE, unless I can prove 20 yrs of AE experience, which I don't have. I took the FE in April and am waiting to hear. I am not interested in a Structural or Civil PE as my education is in both AE and Design (I have both BSAE and BArch degrees). Anyone else familiar with what I'm doing and offer pointers?
A: -What is the purpose of an architectural engineering license if your state licenses architects and se's? What possible gap could there be to justify it? I know of no plans for additional licensure in California. -In Missouri (my home state) there is only a PE license.
