A: - The Village Schools Partnership is a coalition of two neighborhood organizations, two public schools, and one independent school in the north end of the Central Area of Seattle, whose mission is: "To work together to help all our children reach their full potential by sharing and generating resources, strenthening our neighborhood schools, and building cross-cultural and inter-generational bonds" The Youth Community Service and Leadership Training Program is a project to involve neighborhood youth and youth from the three schools in a process of acquiring leadership skills, and using those skills to design community service projects that meet the needs and interests of their community. Duties * Project Management Be the primary contact person for the project. Network with the administration and teachers at the schools and with community leaders to facilitate the development of the project. Work with the Project Adult Advisory Committee to select interviewers, and workshop leaders to work with the youth. Assist with the scheduling and accomplishment of the various milestones for the project, including the youth interviews, workshops, retreat and community service projects. * Volunteer Recruitment and Management Recruit and manage adult volunteers to serve on the Adult Advisory Team for the project, to assist the leadership and workshop trainers, and to work with the youth community service teams. * Volunteer Training Train the volunteers for the above mentioned tasks. * Facilitating Assist the various project committees with planning and facilitating their meetings, and with accomplishing their assigned tasks. * Reporting Providing regular written reports for the Village Schools Partnership Board of Directors and required reports for the Department of
