Acid Reflux Wiki

Q: I have been trying very hard to survive the acid reflux. I can't put up with it any more. I have a lot of problems in sleeping, eating and enjoying myself.I don't find happiness in everything I do. This could also lead to other family members as they would have to bear my bad temper. I have gone to many doctors to find the most suitable treatment for the acid reflux. However, I still can't find one which is the best suitable for me. I am now trying the wiki. Can anyone here help me with the acid reflux wiki.?

A:this is quoted from the wiki acid reflux I get bad heartburn/acid reflux too and not just occasional, except mine kicked in over 18 months after my rosacea kicked in big time and I'd had the rosacea at milder undiagnosed level for quite awhile before that. I had an endocopy when the acid thing kicked in. Looked normal except for mild stomach inflammation which the doc says pretty much everyone has. The PPI's do seem to help me (I can still get a touch of it but mostly not) so in my case it would seem that there is an overproduction of acid or otherwise the meds wouldn't work. I find the acid reflux extremely distressing, more so than the rosacea frankly as it is just not possible to feel at all good or normal while it's happening -- it just overtakes. I don't fit the picture of who gets it: don't drink, smoke, eat fatty fast foods and am not pregnant. I have not heard of any connection at all with rosacea and re: the suggested low acid, there are so many theories but who knows. For myself I doubt it as the health food shop kept recommending digestive enzymes and things to boost acid production on that theory and they only made it worse. This has been going on for months now with me doing weird food experiements

to try and figure out what triggers it and you know the conclusion I've come to? Anxiety. I have anxiety disorder which I'm in therapy for but the last couple of years, and especially 2nd half of last year (when it kicked in) were super stressful. All my doctors think so too. The gastro said axiety alone can cause it even severe and ongoing cases. So, I'm soon going to try an anti-depressant and see if that has an effect on it. I am speaking for myself only here but I believe my rosacea was triggered by extreme anxiety and that the GERD stuff was too. I do everything I can on every level for both but I believe and hope both will improve as I make progress in that area.
