Acid Reflux Symptoms Cough

Q: Can someone tell me what is the symptoms for acid reflux ? I am having so many problems with this kind of acid reflux cough. My sister is having a constant pain in her ears and her throat is swollen she sometimes burst into a dry cough . Her doctor said it is acid reflux he put her on antibiotics , she took it for two weeks she has seen very little results .

A:The symptoms of acid reflux are primarily heartburn, regurgitation, and nausea The main symptoms are persistent heartburn and acid regurgitation. Some people have GERD without heartburn. Instead, they experience pain in the chest, hoarseness in the morning, or trouble swallowing. You may feel like you have food stuck in your throat or like you are choking or your throat is tight. GERD can also cause a dry cough and bad breath. I've never heard of pain in the ears being a symptom of acid reflux. I've had it for a long time. It is more under control now. I used to have a pain in my throat, but it mainly hurt when I swallowed, like I had a goose egg there, but the pain actually comes from lower than it feels. With the pain in the ears, I'm not sure. However, it DOES TAKE TIME, so hopefully she will stay with it. It takes awhile to help the scar in the esophagus.
